We've all hit our "funny bone." Why does it feel like that? What do bicycles, footballs, and space shuttles have in common? Can you really learn while you are asleep? Why do some birds hop and others walk? These and literally thousands of other questions about the world we live in are answered in A Moment of Science.

If you are even a little bit interested in the world around you these two-minute radio programs are just for you--and you don't need to know anything about science! These vignettes remove some of the mystery from science, but not the wonder. A Moment of Science makes you think "Wow, that's neat!" and go tell somebody else about it. There's no end to the topics covered, and you the listener can add to the list by sending questions to amos [at] indiana.edu.

A Moment of Science is produced at Indiana University, Bloomington, in cooperation with IU's scientific community, and scientists around the world. Underwriting comes from the Office of the Vice President for Research, and the Office of the Chancellor in Bloomington.

The Naked Scientists are a media-savvy group of physicians and researchers from Cambridge University who use radio, live lectures, and the Internet to strip science down to its bare essentials, and promote it to the general public. Their award winning BBC weekly radio programme, The Naked Scientists, reaches a potential audience of 6 million listeners across the east of England, and also has an international following on the web

For over 25 years Pastor Frank and his wife Ellen have been ministering to people in various churches, ministries and on radio for over 10 years.

After retiring from his prison chaplaincy, he and his wife Ellen were led in the field of Christian counseling and were members of the National Christian Counseling Assoc. and charter members with the American Association of Christian Counselors. Since 1995 Pastor Frank and Ellen ceased counseling. Radio ministry demands all of their time.

American Catholic Radio and Lenten Radio Retreat are produced by Franciscan Communications, a ministry of St. Anthony Messenger Press, from the Franciscan friars of Cincinnati, Ohio. Production is made possible through grants from the Catholic Communication Campaign of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Arctic Science Journeys is heard across Alaska by more than 100,000 people on more than two dozen public and commercial radio stations broadcast to more than 330 communities, including Alaska's three largest cities, Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau. Our goal is to help radio stations broaden their coverage of arctic environmental issues, scientific discoveries, and cultural understanding. Arctic Science Journeys also has an international following, served by the Voice of America. VOA's worldwide audience is estimated at 100 million, and is served through an international network of 2,000 AM and FM stations as well as short-wave radio.
